Our Mission
DwightFest Inc. is a not for profit organization with the express intent to produce and host an annual music concert event to benefit and assist local artists, entertainers, and service industry personnel.
The board, consisting of volunteers, recognizes a significant need to assist the community members who work so hard to make our area the amazing place it is.
Without these indispensable individuals, our business and enterprises would be without the workforce and the necessary personnel to operate. These valuable economic contributors, many of which can not afford insurance, find themselves vulnerable in an emergency.
The event was originally inspired after the devastating stroke of our dear friend, local potter and icon, Dwight Ward. We quickly realized that although Dwight needs financial and personal support now, so many others will have needs in years to come.
It is the mission of this board to organize and establish an annual music and arts event through our not-for-profit foundation to assist those who need help in our local community. The board will govern the foundation and all subsequent duties will be delegated by said board to appropriate entities.
These people are the lifeblood of our economy. It is our mission to provide a safety net for these hard working citizens.
Why DwightFest Matters
Many in South Walton’s workforce lack reliable access to insurance or medical care, and unforeseen circumstances can leave them struggling. DwightFest was created so that our local heroes—the artists, workers, and service providers—receive meaningful support during difficult times.
Our organization takes pride in partnering with local businesses and community leaders to provide relief and recognition to those who make the region’s cultural and economic life possible.
The DwightFest Foundation is governed by a volunteer board committed to stewardship, transparency, and collaboration, ensuring resources are directed where they are needed most.
